Arvind Mohan
Arvind Mohan Chief Executive Officer & Board Member

Arvind is the Chief Executive Officer of Kiavi. He has over 15 years of experience in residential real estate and investment banking. Prior to joining Kiavi, Arvind was a director in the fixed income division at Barclays. He holds a B.S. and M.S. in Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University. Arvind recently purchased his first investment property (a small fixer-upper) and learned first-hand the difficulties faced by real estate investors. At Kiavi, he is excited to combine his background and experience to help scale our technology platform to serve the needs of our customers.

Tim Lawlor
Tim Lawlor Chief Financial Officer

Tim oversees the Finance, Accounting, Capital Markets, Servicing, and Business Operations functions at Kiavi. He has more than 16 years of experience in finance and capital markets for high-growth and real estate companies. Prior to Kiavi, he served as a Capital Markets leader at various technology companies, including CloudKitchens, OpenDoor, and Uber, and also held Investment Banking positions at Crystal Financial and Goldman Sachs. Tim leverages his deep capital markets background along with strategic planning and financial management to ensure Kiavi continues to achieve its ambitious growth goals.

Vicente Medrano
Vicente Medrano Chief Risk Officer

Vicente oversees all Credit Risk, Operational Risk, Compliance, and Information Security functions at Kiavi. He has more than 17 years of risk management experience across multiple credit products in transformative financial organizations. Prior to Kiavi, he held leadership roles in risk management at Prosper Marketplace and LendingClub. He holds a Bachelor’s of Arts in Political Economy from Williams College and currently resides in the Bay Area. Vicente is passionate about applying the power of AI, data, and technology to build better, smarter credit products that enable real estate investors to scale their businesses.

Jonathan Muller
Jonathan Muller SVP of Product and Technology

Jonathan leads Kiavi’s Product, Design, Engineering, and Data Infrastructure teams, driving the company’s product roadmap and ensuring Kiavi continues to grow its data and technology advantage. Prior to joining Kiavi in 2019, Jonathan held senior product leadership positions at Employ, Via Oncology, and UPMC Enterprises. He has a Bachelor’s of Arts degree from Michigan State University and a M.S. in Information Systems Management from Carnegie Mellon University. Jonathan resides in Pittsburgh, PA, where he has a handful of rental properties. He applies this first-hand experience as a real estate investor to Kiavi’s technology platform, ensuring it continues to innovate, simplify the financing process, and help our customers scale their businesses.

Nora Gibson
Nora Gibson General Counsel

Nora heads the Legal and Compliance team at Kiavi overseeing all of Kiavi's legal affairs. She has over 25 years in private practice, previously serving as lead counsel to the underwriters in many of Silicon Valley's most prominent IPOs. Prior to joining Kiavi, Nora was a partner at Perkins Coie focusing on corporate governance and capital markets transactions. Nora holds her B.A. from Berkeley in Political Science and received her J.D. from the University of San Francisco School of Law. At Kiavi, Nora is excited to use her legal skills to help reimagine the real estate investing process and space.

Richard Arts
Richard Arts SVP of People

Richard leads the Employee Success teams including Talent Acquisition, People Operations, and Employee Experience to ensure that Kiavi is an employer of choice and an environment where employees can thrive, build careers, and do amazing work. Prior to Kiavi, he was a management consultant at Korn Ferry in Amsterdam and San Francisco, advising Fortune500 and small and medium enterprises on HR strategy, compensation, and learning and development. He holds a MS in Organizational Psychology from Utrecht University. He appreciates Kiavi’s mission of advancing the real estate investing industry and works to see that the company’s values and purpose carry throughout the company and on to the customers.

Charles Goodwin
Charles Goodwin Head of Bridge and DSCR Lending

Charles leads Kiavi’s Bridge/Fix-and-Flip and DSCR/Rental lending platforms. He oversees the entire loan Bridge and DSCR loan lifecycle, from sales and origination to processing and funding to closing and draws. During his 10+ years at Kiavi, Charles quickly grew through the ranks from a frontline sales rep to his current leadership position overseeing the 250 Sales and Operations team members supporting Kiavi’s Bridge and DSCR products. His customer-centric and consultative approach to helping Kiavi’s customers scale their businesses is driven by his experiences as a real estate investor himself. Charles has renovated and sold more than 50 single family homes in Northern California and has a growing rental property portfolio in Texas.

Tom Hallock
Tom Hallock Head of Construction Lending

Tom Hallock oversees Kiavi’s Construction Lending vertical, including product development, lending operations, and growth strategies to enable builders to achieve their goals. Tom has decades of experience in construction financing and real estate investment lending. Before joining Kiavi, he held leadership roles such as Chief Lending Officer at DPL Capital and Genesis Capital, as well as Head of Loan Products at PeerStreet. A seasoned expert in construction financing, Tom is committed to scaling Kiavi’s burgeoning construction financing product to meet real estate developers’ needs for fast, reliable financing – all while enabling the creation of much-needed new housing stock across the country.

Rebecca Simanek
Rebecca Simanek Head of Marketing

Rebecca oversees Kiavi’s Marketing function, including brand strategy, demand generation, new product and market expansion, partnership channels, lifecycle marketing, communications, thought leadership, and more. She applies 15+ years of experience in real estate marketing and PR to drive rapid growth and market differentiation for Kiavi. Prior to joining Kiavi, she held product marketing leadership roles at JLL, a Fortune 200 commercial real estate services firm, where she built, launched, and scaled new products globally. A budding real estate investor herself with a portfolio of rental properties, she is committed to Kiavi’s mission of empowering real estate investors to help combat the housing shortage by providing move-in ready homes across the country.

Joseph Chen
Joseph Chen RenRen

Joe led the Series-C round of financing that propelled Kiavi forward as one of the leading online lenders in the world and shapes the company's strategy around growth and scale. He is the founder of Renren and has also served as the Chairman of the Renren Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer of the company since its inception. Prior to founding Renren, Joe was the Co-Founder, Chairman, and Chief Executive Officer of ChinaRen.com, a first-generation SNS in China and one of China's most visited websites in 1999. He served as Senior Vice President of Sohu.com after ChinaRen.com was acquired by Sohu in 2000. Mr. Chen holds a BA in Physics from the University of Delaware, a Master's degree in engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and an MBA from Stanford University.

James Herbert
James Herbert Co-Founder

Kiavi, formerly LendingHome, is James' third real estate start-up. He founded a residential real estate private equity fund and Colony American Homes. James was previously a VP at Colony Capital and VP in Investment Banking at Morgan Stanley. He holds a BA in Economics and an MBA from Stanford University.

Matt Humphrey
Matt Humphrey Co-Founder

Matt started Kiavi, formerly LendingHome, in 2013 with the goal of building the best way to get a mortgage. He worked hard as the company's Founder and previous CEO for seven years to combine the best people and technology to completely reimagine the mortgage process from end-to-end and is thrilled to continue to support the team on the Board of Directors. Matt is a serial entrepreneur who has founded 6 startups, including an e-commerce platform called HomeRun that was acquired for over $100M+ less than 18 months after launch. Matt was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA, where he received a BS in CS and MBA from Carnegie Mellon after matriculating at age 13.

Cathey Lowe
Cathey Lowe Independent Director

Cathey is an experienced independent board director with 30 years of experience working with Fortune 500 companies. She recently served on the board of The New Home Company. As an independent consultant and fractional CFO, Cathey has over a decade of experience providing strategic advisory & financial services to a broad range of companies. Previously, Cathey served as Senior Vice President of Finance at The Ryland Group, and held finance and accounting management positions at ARCO. Cathey holds an MBA from University of California at Los Angeles, an MS from University of Texas at Dallas, and a BBA from the University of Houston.

Charles Moldow
Charles Moldow Foundation Capital

Charles led the Series-A round of financing that launched Kiavi, formerly LendingHome, and has leveraged his deep expertise in marketplace lending to help the company every step of the way. He joined Foundation Capital in 2005 and, prior to that, he was part of two teams that successfully built companies from early start-ups through greater than $100 million in sales and exits near or above $1 billion. Charles has made fourteen successful investments since joining Foundation, of which two, LendingClub and On Deck Capital, have IPOs. They also include PowerSet (acquired by Microsoft); Xoopit (acquired by Yahoo!); Adwhirl (acquired by Google); Weblistic (acquired by Spot Runner). Charles works closely with his current portfolio, which includes AdRoll, auxmoney, BTCJam, DogVacay, Finxera, Kiavi, Motif Investing, and Refresh.
